Zoella is based in the UK, started broadcasting her beauty and fashion videos in 2009. Has 11.5 million subscribers on youtube; has 5 million subscribers on her other account in which she uses as a main account now

The video resembles an advertisement; commodity fetishism, taking one value of a product and valuing it over everything else. Low production values and has been self-shot; allows zoella to appear relatable. Constant use of close shots symbolises the audience's proximity to Zoella. We're positioned as the audience as a young working class woman. Mise-en-scene of the setting adds a homely atmosphere, clean and bright with tasteful plants - all to make her relatable to the audience.

"its just started raining... what is this?" Start of the video gives a casual and relatable tone. Lacks professionalism. However it adds an element of authenticity - a hyperreality of what shopping is actually like
